I am happy to report that I hopefully have located the right supplier for the Hindi lessons I want to take so I can learn the number one language of India.
The company is Rocket Languages, and over the past several years they have been earning a pretty good reputation with their online foreign language packages. The trouble is, they offered lessons to learn French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Chinese and Arabic, but up until recently they did not include a course for learning Hindi. But that missing piece has now been added.
When you talk to people who have dealt with the Rocket Languages company, you find out why they have the positive track record that they do. For starters, you can check out what might be called a “test drive” of their tutorials for free. And secondly, all of their programs are backed up by their 60-day satisfaction guarantee, so you can actually purchase the complete package and give it a thorough examination to make sure it is the kind of a language study system compatible with the way you want to learn.

You know it is sad but true that so many things on the Internet are not worthwhile, that people who surf the net frequently tend to get skeptical of everything. That is probably why some people who are wanting to take Hindi lessons may think this Rocket Hindi program is not for them. So, now that I have seen what it actually is all about, let me fill you in on how the system works…
The lessons are very relaxed and informal. The voices you will be interacting with, named Nikita and Rohan, really seem like friendly people you would like to know. And as the Hindi course moves forward, you really do get to know them better.
You get more than simply audio lessons for downloading. There are games that really work to help keep you stimulated as well as helping you become familiar not only with understanding the spoken Hindi phrases you hear but also in translating the written Hindi script, Hindi script, Devanagari.
For myself, knowing more of the background of the Rocket Languages company makes me feel more comfortable. And after understanding how carefully the program has been structured, I can say with all honesty that this is the most up-to-date and complete way to learn Hindi online. Sure, you could pay $25 to $50 per hour for private lessons, but even those would have to be done at times that were convenient for your personal instructor.
Next time I will go into more detail about my experiences with Rocket Hindi, but in the meantime…
